MONSTER MECHANICAL\FURNACE HEAT EXCHANGER

The Heat Exchanger is the heart of virtually every heating system. When a crack develops, the burners flame can become unstable and allow flue gases (carbon monoxide) to be mixed with the air entering the conditioned space. This situation could prove to be fatal. Seasonal preventive maintenance and inspection could detect early signs of this condition and increase the longevity of your heating systems life. These pictures were taken from a customers home after responding to a call for service. The orange discoloration surrounding the crack indicates excessive heat due to "Flame Rollout". This furnace was not regularly maintained and the burner was extremely over-fired causing the Furnace Heat Exchanger to prematurely fail.
